But we\u2019re afraid of how much we\u2019ll spend over there\u2026<\/em>\u00a0Yes, we\u2019re aware of how expensive it can be to come to Switzerland\/Bern. We are a non-profit organization; we organize this event for passion for the Lindy Hop and this city. That\u2019s why we try to keep our prices to a minimum, so that everyone who wants can join. Here you\u2019ll find basic information to make your trip and stay as cheap as possible. Try the train!<\/strong> Fancy a roadtrip?<\/strong> <\/p>\n Many locals are happy to offer a bed\/couch. Unfortunately,\u00a0we cannot host all of you<\/u>! That\u2019s why we encourage you to register\u00a0as soon as possible<\/strong>\u00a0(first come, first served!). \nUnfortunately, Bern has only a small airport (Belp). The usual low-cost companies don\u2019t operate there, so flights from\/to Belp are often expensive. Don\u2019t panic! We\u2019re close to three big airports:\u00a0Geneva<\/strong>,\u00a0Z\u00fcrich<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg<\/strong>. Since many operators often fly to the same places, in general there should be no problem finding a good deal.
\nOnce in Switzerland, taking the train is probably your best option. OK, trains in Switzerland are expensive, but there is a trick. Check out\u00a0this page<\/a><\/strong>. If you book in advance and for a specific day&hour, you can save up to 50% of the original price!<\/p>\n
\nSwitzerland is well communicated by train with Italy, France and Germany (amongst others). We suggest you to try to buy a ticket until the first Swiss stop and then try the super saver tickets (at least compare the prices, who knows!). When coming from Italy you can try to find good deals in\u00a0Il trova treni<\/a>, and same if you come from France in\u00a0this website<\/a>.
\nNight trains can also be a good option, even if you come from further away. Check the train company of your country!!<\/p>\n
\nComing by bus or car is also an option. If you want to come with your own car remember that you have to buy a\u00a0sticker<\/a>\u00a0in order to use the Swiss\u2019 motorways (you can do it at the border). Another option is to share a car; check\u00a0Blablacar<\/a>\u00a0to see if someone proposes a ride that suits you!
