The Shirt Tail Stompers (London)
London’s top vintage band, the Shirt Tail Stompers are firmly established at home and internationally playing Harlem Swing and the Hot Jazz of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Featuring music from composers such as Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Count Basie.
Last year alone saw them playing festivals and shows in Thailand, Denmark, South Korea, Germany, Poland, Greece, Hungary, The Netherlands, France, Norway, Italy, Czech Republic and all across the UK.
We are happy to welcome The Shirt Tail Stompers in Bern for the first time. They will not only play for us on Friday and Saturday night, but also share their experience by giving a special musicality class on Saturday afternoon!

Lost in Swing (Lausanne)
Lost in Swing are very well known in the french speaking part of Switzerland. They are performing for swing dancers in Geneva and in their hometown Lausanne as well as for numerous jazz festivals in the surroudings like Rive-Jazzy in Nyon, Montreux Jazz Festival 2014 and 2015, Bern Jazz Festival, Cully-Jazz 2015 and many more.
Parallel to the concerts, Lost in Swing’s music enchant the flaneurs of Lausanne’s promenades and boulevards as you can see in the video.
At Swing Fest we will have them busking with us on Sunday afternoon in the streets and greens of Bern. And in the evening, they will celebrate and complete the weekend with a last energetic concert.
Coniglio Connection (St. Gallen)
Coniglio Connection from the eastern part of Switzerland don’t pull rabbits out of a magic hat but they do suprise with their swinging rhythms coming out of trompet, trombone, double bass and ukulele. Lindy Hoppers won’t stop dancing until the last note has fade away.
Coniglio Connection will surpise us not once but twice at Swing Fest. Their magic tunes will guide you to the Fox Trail’s final destination and invite for a social dance in the historic center of Bern. Later on, they will warm you up at the Saturday night party.
